Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) side University of Pretoria beat Moroka Swallows 2-1 in a Nedbank Cup last-16 encounter at the Tuks Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Following a goalless first half, AmaTuks shot to the lead through Tebogo Mohlamonyane’s goal 13 minutes into the second stanza.
The Dube Birds got the equaliser when Lwanda Mbanjwa netted in the 79th minute. Thabang Sibanyoni’s goal in referee’s added time ensured that AmaTuks dumped their DStv Premiership opponents out of the Nedbank Cup and moved to the quarter-finals.
