It’s going to be experience against the youth when ring veteran and Mdantsane-born former South African flyweight champion Thembelani Nxoshe’s fistic skills are tested against youngster Moyisi Booi next month.
Nxoshe will be defending his Eastern Cape flyweight title against Booi, who is a former amateur star, at an X Promotions tournament scheduled for the Whittlesea Multipurpose Hall in Sada on Saturday, 13 April.
This is going to be Nxoshe’s first fight since his bid to become a two-time SA flyweight king failed after he was outpointed by former national champion and now International Boxing Organisation (IBO) flyweight titlist Jackson ‘M3’ Chauke at the Orient Theatre, East London, in October last year.
On the other hand, Booi has won his two fights with one of the bouts ending in a stoppage victory for him. He stopped Masivuye Philiso in the second round in his last fight at the Orient Theatre in October.
