Given a choice, unbeaten Zimbabwean-born boxer Beaven Sibanda would pick his next opponent and that would be Siyakholwa Kuse from Mdantsane.
Even though Sibanda said that everything is in the hands of his handlers, he didn’t hide the fact that he’s itching for a duel with Kuse, who is the reigning South African and African Boxing Union (ABU) minimumweight champion.
“It’s true that we were supposed to have fought last year. I have a new management now and they are going to plan for me. Any match up for me is always a good match up, especially against people who are rated on top of me. Of course, I would love to fight against Kuse. I wouldn’t take the fight if I know I’m not capable of beating him,” Sibanda said.
The 22-year-old Sibanda has won all his six fights with two victories coming from stoppages. Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Sibanda is trained by Vusi Mtolo.
