Following a six-match unbeaten run, Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has given credit to his players as they drew 2-2 with Cape Town City in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Tuesday evening.
Babina Noko, wno are third on the Premiership standings, have so far collected 34 points after winning 10 matches, drawing four times and losing seven games.
“Credit must go to the players. It wasn’t easy. It’s not like we were playing against Cape Town City that is in the NFD or Castle, whatever. This is the team that’s challenging for the top spot, second spot also,” Seema said.
“And we knew that it was going to be a very difficult game. We scored some goals. We couldn’t defend our lead. But it’s things that we have to go sit and work on them.”
The Polokwane-based Babina Noko defeated Orlando Pirates 2-1 last Saturday before coming up against the Citizens on Tuesday.
“I can tell you that we played two games that are of very, very high intensity. Somehow, I feel for the guys and I wish we can change seven or six players,” the former Lesotho national team captain remarked.
