Wily boxing trainer Vusi Mtolo knows what to expect from Brandon Thysse who fights against his boxer Darrin Rossouw at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park on Friday evening.
Rossouw from Bluewater Bay in Gqeberha clashes against Thysse in a 10 rounds junior-middleweight bout on the undercard of the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) junior-bantamweight title contest between current champion Ricardo Malajika and Marcel Braithwaite from the United Kingdom.
“We have prepared very well for this fight. It’s not gonna be an easy fight. I know how strong Thysse is. I have beaten him twice in the past and he has beaten me once. I’m sure he be will out looking for parity,” Mtolo said.
On Thysse being slightly overweight on his first visit to the scales, Mtolo said: “I saw that. Thysse is a big boy. However, I doubt that what happened will give him problems during the fight.”
Meanwhile, the Golden Gloves tournament is going to start at 18h00.
