After putting up an impressive performance when he defeated Awonke Tini by a third round knockout last month, Bheki Maitse returns to the ring in a Gauteng junior-featherweight title fight against Vusi Ngcamu.
The unbeaten Maitse collides with Ngcamu at a Boxing5 Promotions tournament at the Box Camp Booysens in Johannesburg on Sunday, 5 May.
Maitse campaigns in the same division as his father Bongani ‘Wonderboy’ Mahlangu, who is the reigning South African junior-featherweight champion.
On the other hand, Ngcamu hasn’t fought since his sixth round stoppage win over Sinenkosi Mlotshwa at the same Booysens venue in March last year.
Maitse has won all his four fights with two of those wins coming from knockouts while Ngcamu has registered seven wins with five stoppages, four defeats and three draws.
