Orlando Pirates beat Cape Town City 2-0 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the CapeTown Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Following a goalless first half, the Buccaneers took the lead through Tshegofatso Mabasa’s goal in the 59th minute from Relebohile Mofokeng’s assist.
Mabasa completed his brace 14 minutes later after yet another assist from Mofokeng to take his goal tally to 13 goals, equal with Stellenbosch FC’s Iqraam Rayners.
Meanwhile, Moroka Swallows fought back from a goal down to defeat Chippa United 2-1 at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London.
Gabadinho Mhango and Lwando Mbanjwa netted for the Dube Birds after Kayden Francis had given the Chilli Boys the lead.
