Ntethelelo Nkosi feels like blowing away all the days leading up to his South African title fight against Sanele Msimang as he wants to get it over and be done with this shootout.

The 27-year-old Nkosi from Mtubatuba in KwaZulu-Natal is set to make the first defence of his SA junior-welterweight title against Msimang at a soon-to-be confirmed venue in Durban next month.

“I’m giving him a chance as he has been calling me to a fight against him. I’m really not afraid of him. I’m going to successfully defend my title,” Nkosi boldly said.

“I have watched few of his fights, there’s nothing to write home about. Deep down his heart, he knows that I’m going to beat him. There’s no way that he can take my title away from me. He needs to wait until I’m done here in South Africa before he can win the title.”

Nkosi, who is trained by Damien Durandt in Johannesburg, stopped former champion Prince Dlomo in the ninth round at The Globe Theatre, Suncoast Casino, in Durban in November last year. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
