The days of gym hopping have come to an end for former South African junior-flyweight champion Nhlanhla ‘Mount Kilimanjaro’ Tyirha as he has joined All Winners Boxing Club in Mdantsane.
Tyirha found a new home after he severed ties with his manager Thembelani ‘Shakes’ Hlombe and joined forces with award-winning Mlandeli Tengimfene.
“We met and agreed to work together under strict conditions,” Tengimfene, who won the 2017 Manager of the Year award, confirmed.
Tengimfene, who’s the manager at All Winners Boxing Club, has a reputation of helping resurrect boxers’ careers as he patiently works with them. With Tyirha having joined All Winners Boxing Club, he is now going to be trained by former SA flyweight champion Makazole Tete and Themba Mali. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
