Mandla Ntlanganiso is looking forward to working with the new board of Boxing South Africa (BSA), which was announced by Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa on Tuesday last week.
The appointment of the seven-member BSA board led by its chaiperson Sifiso Shongwe, who works together with Dr Koketso Tsebe, Luxolo September, Sakhiwe Sodo, Nande Mheshe, Romy Titus and Dr Luvuyo Bayeni, means that Ntlanganiso’s reign as accounting authority came to an end.
“On behalf of Boxing SA management and staff, we are looking forward to work with you and we trust and hope that this is the genesis of a new positive era to reposition and repackage brand Boxing South Africa for excellence,” Ntlanganiso, who is the acting BSA chief executive officer, said.
“Your appointment brings hope and excitement to the boxing fraternity at large. We have been waiting with bated breath for this moment and it finally came. It is now time to roll our sleeves and build our beloved sport to take its rightful position of being the top two sporting code in the country as it used to be in the past.”
Ntlanganiso, who joined BSA as acting director of operations in January 2022, also thanked Kodwa for appointing the board.
