Pitso Mosimane’s mission to save Abha Club from going down from the Saudi Pro League to the Yellow League failed after his team were beaten 2-1 by Al Hazem at the Al-Hazm Stadium on Monday evening.
Muhammed Badammosi and Mohammed Al-Thain netted for relegated Al Hazem after Ahmed Abdoh Jaber had given Abha the lead.
Mosimane joined Abha in January this year with the sole mission of saving them from relegation and they were on 14 points from 19 matches at the time of his arrival.
Abha managed to collect 18 points from 15 games under the South African-born former Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns mentor.
