Even though he wants to go easy on Thembinkosi Lorch, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena is disappointed with the player after a video of the slosh-looking midfielder sandwiched between two women trended on social media.
Speaking on Metrofm on Monday evening, Mokwena said: “Lorch called me and he was in tears. I don’t want to talk too much about the issue until I have spoken to him in person. I will say I’m disappointed, because I also told him this on the phone.”
Mokwena added: “I have to speak to Lorch first and he has to hear my feelings on the incident in its entirety. That discussion is not for the public, but it’s for me and Lorch. We brought Lorch into the team knowing who he is and what he is about. As a football player, you don’t just look after your talent, but you need to manage your career.”
Lorch, who joined the Tshwane giants from Orlando Pirates earlier this year, was celebrating following the Brazilians’ DStv Premiership triumph.
