Banyana Banyana played to a 1-1 draw with their Senegalese counterparts in an international friendly match at Stade Lat Dior in Thies, Senegal, on Saturday.
Following a goalless first half, coach Desiree Ellis’ team took the lead through Nthabiseng Majiya in the 67th minute.
Banyana thought they were on theur way to winning the match until the Senegalese equalised from Sow Mbayang’s penalty at the death.
Meanwhile, the two teams will meet again in the second and final international friendly match on Tuesday next week.
