Pitso Mosimane is quite happy with the progress Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana utility player Thapelo Morena is making.
The 30-year-old Morena came on as a second half substitute and scored a brace when Bafana defeated Zimbabwe 3-1 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Tuesday evening.
“I’m happy to see Thapelo Morena gracing the back pages of the papers . I had to go to Randfontein to convince his parents to come sign for us. It was tough because even Chiefs wanted him at the time. I’m glad I played my part,” Mosimane said on Radio 2000 on Thursday evening.
The former Sundowns and Al Ahly coach recruited Morena from Bloemfontein Celtic to the Brazilians in 2016.
