A beautiful innings by Quinton de Kock, who knocked 74 off 40 balls, helped the Proteas defeat the United States of America (USA) by 18 runs in a T20 World Cup match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua, on Wednesday evening (South African time).

De Kock, who was assisted by Aiden Markram’s 46 from 32 deliveries, steered the Proteas to 194 runs for four in their alloted 20 overs.

The Americans replied with 176 for six and Andries Gous top scored as he hit 80 runs after facing 47 balls.

Meanwhile, Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada claimed three wickets after giving away 18 runs.
