India won their first ICC trophy in 14 years as they beat the Proteas by seven runs in a T20 World Cup final played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Satursay evening (South African time).
The Indians won the toss and elected to bat and they knocked 176 for seven in 20 overs, setting the South Africans a target of 177 to win.
The South Africans hit 169 runs for eight wickets in a match which at times looked like they were going to win, especially when they needed 30 from 30 balls.
