Mamelodi Sundowns announced on Saturday morning that Steve Komphela had returned to the team and will serve as their senior coach.
Komphela, who was coaching Lamontville Golden Arrows, will assist Manqoba Mngqithi and the Brazilians technical team.
“I am very excited to be back at Mamelodi Sundowns where I was always inspired and treated with respect and love. I am committed to contributing to the Club achieving its goals in South Africa and on the African continent,” Komphela said.
Komphela left the Tshwane giants to join Moroka Swallows last season. He didn’t last long at the Dube Birds and he left them for Abafana Bes’thende.
Meanwhile, the Brazilians are still training in South Africa before they leave to continue with their preparations in Austria.
