German side Augsburg FC overcame Young Africans from Tanzania 2-1 in a Mpumalanga International Premier Cup at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday afternoon.
The German Bundesliga club led 1-0 at interval through Mads Pedersen’s goal, which he scored seven minutes before the half-time break.
Augsburg increased their lead when Masaya Okugawa scored in the 81st minute. Six minutes later, Jean Baleke’s header cut the deficit into half.
