Winners of the MTN8 trophy are going to walk away with R10-million, R2 million more as the prize money has been increased from R8-million.

It was also announced on Wednesday afternoon that seven other participating teams will each receive R1 million, up from R800 000.

MTN8 action starts this coming weekend when Orlando Pirates welcome SuperSport United at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto at 18h00 on Saturday.

And Stellenbosch FC will then face TS Galaxy in another MTN8 quarter-final encounter at the Danie Craven Stadium in the Cape Winelands on Sunday starting at 15h00.
