Cape Town City have reached the semi-finals of the MTN8 after a 1-0 win over Sekhukhune United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.
Venezuelan-born forward Darwin Mendoza Gonzalez scored the only goal of the match from the penalty two minutes before full-time.
Gonzalez was making amends for missing a penalty four minutes before the half-time break. The penalty came after Sikhosonke Langa had fouled Jody Lee Ahshene inside the box.
