Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini received a major boost ahead of his fight against Japanese boxer Tomoki Kameda as Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie wished him luck on Monday.

Dlamini from Welkom in the Free State faces Kameda in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) featherweight elimination bout in Osaka, Japan, on Saturday, 24 August.

“I came to wish him well. I wanna say we are proud of you. You are gonna get all the support,” Mckenzie said while visiting Hot Box Gym in Johannesburg.

Dlamini together with his trainer Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan, Bernie Pailman and Hayden Jones are going to leave South Africa for Japan on Thursday.
