Ntombokuqala Tolashe’s desire to win a South African title sees her grabbing yet another opportunity as she faces Matshidiso Mokatsane at the Vibrant Sport Club in Ottery, Cape Town, on Friday, 30 August.
Tolashe, who trains at the 9th South African Infantry (9SAI) Boxing Club in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, and Kroonstad-born Mokatsane will be fighting for the vacant SA female featherweight title.
Khayelitsha-based Tolashe lost twice in her bid to win the SA female junior-lightweight title as she was defeated by reigning national champion Nozipho Bell on both occasions in July 2021 and October 2022.
Meanwhile, Mokatsane is a former SA female junior-featherweight title holder and was dethroned by Nomusa Ngema in Bloemfontein in December last year.
