Siyakholwa Kuse was in his element, ensuring that boxing followers who converged at the Orient Theatre in East London were entertained as he stopped Malaki Sobolo in the fifth round.

As a result of the victory, Kuse from Mdantsane retained his South African minimumweight title after dishing out yet another impressive performance. 

It was clear immediately after the first gong that the bout won’t go the distance as Kuse attacked with vicious blows. Sobolo replied, however, his responses were not enough to trouble Kuse.

As expected, Sobolo was decked in the fourth round and he was saved by the bell from a Kuse onslaught. Sensing victory, Kuse went for the kill at the beginning of the fifth round landing big blows, which staggered Sobolo, who later went down.
