Severe weather conditions have forced the Premier Soccer League (PSL) to reschedule Tuesday evening’s MTN8 semi-final first leg clash between Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates.

The match scheduled for the Cape Town Stadium has now been moved to Wednesday at the same venue, starting at 18h00.

According to the PSL, the decision to postpone the match was made following an advice from the City of Cape Town authorities and stadium management, who reported gale-force winds averaging speeds of 67 km/h.

The adverse weather has led to collapsed buildings, blocked roads due to fallen trees and impacted stadium facilities.
