Stellenbosch FC defeated Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-finals at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Wednesday evening.
Following a goalless draw in the first half, the club from the Cape Winelands scored through Fawaaz Basadien in the 61st minute.
Meanwhile, Stellies and the Brazilians clash again in the second leg scheduled for the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday afternoon.
