Bafana Bafana defeated South Sudan 3-2 in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Juba National Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bright Stars scared Bafana when they scored first through Tito Okello’s penalty in the 15th minute.
It took Bafana only two minutes to respond as Oswin Appollis from Polokwane City equalised. Appollis completed his brace on the stroke of half-time to give Bafana a 2-1 lead.
The Bright Stars fought back and equalised through Valentino Kuach Yuel’s goal in the 58th minute.
Just like he did last Friday, Thalente Mbatha once again became Bafana’s saviour as his left-footed strike hit the back of the net in referee’s added time.
