With Minister of Sport Gayton McKenzie having called for people to nominate individuals to serve in the Boxing South Africa (BSA) board, Luxolo September has made it clear that he’s not interested in serving the fistic sport anymore.

September was a member of the BSA board, which McKenzie dissolved towards the end of August. The Ngqamakhwe-born administrator was also in the BSA board, which was successfully interdicted by the National Professional Boxing Promoters Association (NPBPA) in December last year.

“I’m definitely not interested. They can go ahead. I’m unfortunately not available for the board. You cannot keep on doing the same thing and expect different results. I wish the Minister and Boxing SA all the best,” September said.

September, who is based in Cairo, Egypt, is now concentrating at his job as head of TV/Commercial at the Confederation of African Football (CAF). – Monwabisi Jimlongo
