Kaizer Chiefs leisurely advanced to the quarter-finals of the Carling Knockout after they mercilessly beat SuperSport United 4-0 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening.

Chiefs took the lead from a counter attack as Gaston Sirino beat Matsatsantsa a Pitori goalkeeper Ricardo Goss in the 33rd minute.

And it took Amakhosi 20 minutes to score their second goal through their captain Yusuf Maart, who headed past Goss to make it 2-0 eight minutes into the second half.

Ranga Chivaviro made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute and Ashley du Preez netted Amakhosi’s fourth goal in referee’s added time. 

Meanwhile, Cape Town City thrashed Royal AM 3-0 with goals from Amadou Soukouna, Jaedin Rhodes and Jody Ah Shene in another Carling Knockout match, which was played at the Athlone Stadium.
