Just less than three months after she annexed the South African female featherweight title, Cape Town-based boxer Ntombokuqala Tolashe is now set to travel to Korea Republic for a date with Bo Mi Re Shin next month.
The 28-year-old Tolashe, who defeated Matshidiso Moketsane in Cape Town in August, squares up against Shin at her backyard in Seoul on Saturday, 7 December.
Shin is a former World Boxing Council (WBC) International and World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Asia-Pacific junior-lightweight champion.
The 30-year-old Shin’s last fight was a seventh round stoppage win over Ana Maria Lozano from Venezuela at the Bukgu Gymnasium in Gwangju City, Korea Republic, three months ago.
With 17 wins (10 knockouts), two losses and three draws, Shin is more experienced compared to Tolashe, who has won seven fights (one stoppage) and lost four times.
