Premiership newcomers Magesi FC have reached the final of the Carling Knockout following a 1-0 win over Richards Bay FC at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Saturday afternoon.
A Tshepo Mashigo goal scored in the 27th minute was enough to send Magesi to their first ever cup final in less than six months of them campaigning in the Premier Division.
Magesi are now waiting for the winner of Sunday’s second semi-final encounter between Marumo Gallants and Mamelodi Sundowns at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Mangaung.
