Kaizer Chiefs won the inaugural edition of the Home of Legends Cup following a 5-4 win over Mamelodi Sundowns at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday evening.
This encounter was decided on spot kicks following the two teams’ failure to find the back of the net in regulation time.
Amakhosi reached the final after they defeated Lamontville Golden Arrows 2-0 in the first semi-final and the Tshwane giants beat Chippa United 5-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
