Banyana Banyana gave away a first half lead before they were beaten 3-2 by Jamaica in an international friendly match at the Catherine Sports Complex in Montego Bay early on Tuesday morning, South African time.
Banyana led 1-0 at the break following a goal from Linda Motlhalo in the 19th minute. However, they gave away their lead as the Jamaicans scored three goals in the space of 18 minutes.
Vyan Sampson equalised for the Reggae Girlz 13 minutes into the second half and the Jamaicans led for the first time when Drew Spence scored in the 63rd minute. Kayla Jay McKenna netted Jamaica’s third goal 13 minutes later.
Banyana pushed hard as they searched for a second goal, which duly came when Amogelang Motau netted in the 90th minute. This was the second successive loss that Banyana suffered to the Reggae Girl as they were also whipped 3-0 last week.
