A fight which many boxing followers have been looking forward to is finally happening as Siyakholwa Kuse and Beaven Sibanda from Zimbabwe ars going to trade blows on Friday evening.
After spending almost a month training in Johannesburg, Kuse will now face off against Sibanda in a vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver minimumweight title fight at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni.
Anyone who wins this duel will set himself in good stead for a crack at the WBC title, which is held by Filipino boxer Melvin Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, the WBC has confirmed the names of the officials who are going to officiate during this fight with Wycliff Merenda from Kenya being the third man in the ring when the bell rings.
The judges are Francis Chirwa from Zambia, Zimbabwean Gloria Dera and South African Ben Ncapai.
