Pakistan ended day two of the first Test against the Proteas having knocked 83 runs in 22 overs with the loss of three wickets in their second innings at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Friday.
Having knocked 211 runs all out in the first innings, the Pakistanis trail the Proteas by two runs after the South Africans hit 301 for 10 in their first innings.
After doing well as a bowler taking four wickets on Thursday, Corbin Bosch also starred with the bat as he became the highest-scoring debutant at number nine in Test cricket history scoring 81 runs from 93 deliveries after knocking 15 boundaries.
And Aiden Markram recorded a milestone as he scored 89 runs from 144 balls and he hit 15 fours.
