Allrounder Marco Jansen was the chief destroyer as he took six wickets in 14 overs and gave away 52 runs as the Proteas restricted Pakistan 237 all out in their second innings on day three of the first Test at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Saturday.

With the Proteas needing only 148 runs to win the first Test, the South Africans were 27 for three at stumps and they need 121 more runs to win in the remaining two days.

Meanwhile, the Pakistanis were bowled out for 211 and 237 in the first and second innings respectively while the Proteas scored 301 runs for 10 wickets in their first innings.
