Following his wins over his KwaZulu-Natal homeboys Sanele Msimang and Prince Dlomo in his last two fights, national champion Ntethelelo Nkosi now believes it’s time for him to cause more heartaches in Eastern Cape boxing circles.

Mtubatuba-born Nkosi will travel down to East London to defend his South African junior-welterweight title against Aphiwe ‘Swagger’ Mboyiya. The Damien Durandt-trained Nkosi stopped Inchanga-born Msimang and Dlomo from Pietermaritzburg in his last two fights.

“I have no problem in coming down to East London because I know I’m going to win there. I’m not looking down on Mboyiya, but he doesn’t scare me. I know that East London is his home,” Nkosi said.

“No one is gonna rob me when I fight against him because the bout won’t go the distance. I will finish the fight early and there will be no need for the judges’ score cards.”

Nkosi’s fight against Mboyiya, who is a former SA featherweight and junior-lightweight champion, is going to be promoted by Mzi Booi’s Kay B Promotions in April. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
