Cape Town City won their second successive match as they beat Orlando Pirates 1-0 in a Betway Premiership encounter at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The win, which came courtesy of Venezuelan Darwin González’s 74th minute goal, made it two wins out of two for coach Muhsin Ertuğral, who started coaching the team last week. The Citizens’ win followed three days after they defeated Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 through another González goal.
Meanwhile, Wandile Duba scored twice as Kaizer Chiefs came from behind to beat Stellenbosch FC 2-1 at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg.
Stellies took the lead through Khomotjo Lekoloane in the 20th minute and Duba equalised eight minutes later. Duba netted Amakhosi’s winning goal in the 57th minute.
