Orlando Pirates are through to the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League following a 2-0 win over Algerian side CR Belouizdad in a Group C match at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Sunday afternoon.
The Soweto giants led 1-0 at half-time through Relebohile Mofokeng’s goal in the 20th minute.
And Thalente Mbatha’s stunning goal made it 2-0 in the 61st minute following an assist from Patrick Maswanganyi to take Buccaneers to the last eight for the first time since 2013.
Meanwhile, the Algerians scored through Abdelraouf Benguit in referee’s added time.
