Mamelodi Sundowns continued with their winning streak as they came from behind to beat Magesi FC 2-1 in a Betway Premiership match at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday evening.
Magesi took the lead through Wonderboy Makhubu’s goal in the 12th minute after he received an assist from John Mokone.
Sundowns equalised when Lucas Ribeiro Costa scored with an acrobatic kick in the 65th minute following an assist from his Brazilian compatriot Arthur de Oliveira Sales.
And Tasreeq Matthews netted the Tshwane giants’ winning goal after a Sales assist four minutes before full-time. This was sweet revenge for the Brazilians, who were beaten 2-1 by Magesi in the final of the Carling Knockout.
