Bafana Bafana were drawn in the same group as the Egyptian Pharaohs during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations draw held in Rabat, Morocco, on Monday evening.
Three Group B teams, including Bafana, are from the COSAFA region as Angola and Zimbabwe will also compete against the South Africans for a place in the next round of the competition.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on Sunday, 21 December 2025 and come to an end on Sunday, 18 January 2026
