A fight between unbeaten South African boxer Kaine ‘K9’ Fourie and Simon Ngoma from Zambia has been confirmed as one of the bouts at the Aquila Boxing Promotions (ABP) tournament on Saturday, 15 March.
Normally, Fourie who is trained by veteran trainer Gert Strydom, fights in tournaments organised by Boxing 5 Promotions. Fourie’s fight against Ngoma is going to be a 10 rounds lightweight bout.
Fourie will go to the Ngoma fight fresh from a fourth round stoppage win over Ghanaisn boxer Mohammed Wasiru in November last year.
“When Kevin (Lerena) approached me about featuring some of our fighters on his March 15th bill, I spoke to Larry (Wainstein) and we were happy to work with him. I enjoy the way he does business. He doesn’t go directly to the fighters and trainers, he goes through the correct people, which is ethical,” NO DOUBT Management director Colin ‘Nomakanjami’ Nathan said.
Another Boxing 5 and NO DOUBT Management boxer Almighty ‘Creed’ Moyo will also feature in the ABP bill. Moyo faces Kagiso Bagwasi from Botswana in a six rounds welterweight bout.
