In a match which looked like it was going to end in a draw, Orlando Pirates emerged 1-0 victors over Kaizer Chiefs in a Betway Premiership encounter at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Saturday afternoon.
The goal which separated the two sides came courtesy of Patrick Maswanganyi’s boot following a well-taken penalty in referee’s added time after Njabulo Blom had pulled Relebohile Mofokeng inside the box.
Meanwhile, Sekhukhune United held Stellenbosch FC to a 1-1 draw in another Betway Premiership clash at the Danie Craven Stadium.
The Cape Winelands side took the lead through Chumani Butsaka in the seventh minute and 16 minutes later, Babina Noko equalised following Sipho Mbule’s powerful shot.
