Floodlight problems at the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane on Tuesday evening didn’t deter Chippa United as the Chilli Boys trounced Magesi FC 4-1 in a Betway Premiership encounter, which was replayed and finished on Wednesday afternoon.
The game was called off by match commissioner Robert Sithole after the floodlights failed for the second time in the 21st minute. It was 1-1 when the match was called off with Mncedi Vandala having scored for Magesi and Sinoxolo Kwayiba netting for the Chilli Boys.
With the game having restarted in the 21st minute, it took the Chilli Boys just four minutes to take the lead through Craig Martin’s goal. Seun Ndlovu made it 3-1 eight minutes before the half-time break and Kwayiba completed his brace in the 66th minute.
