More than two years of inactivity will come to an end when South African female junior-lightweight champion Nozipho Bell finally laces her gloves for the first time since December 2022 when she squares up against Abongile Lubambo.
Bell is set to clash against Lubambo in a catchweight bout at a tournament, which is going to be promoted by David Faas’ David Faas Productions in Walmer, Gqeberha, on Saturday, 8 March.
The national champion has been fight starved since her successful SA female junior-lightweight title defence against Mashudu Ramakwelo at the Babs Madlakane Hall in KwaNobuhle, Kariega, in December 2022.
“I can confirm that Bell is fighting against Lubambo in a catchweight bout. This fight is going to be held in Walmer on the eighth of March,” Faas confirmed.
Bell is an experienced campaigner, who has amassed 14 wins with three knockouts, three losses and a draw while Lubambo has won three times, lost twice and drawn once.
