After leaving Luvuyo Boxing Club in Mdantsane last year, Enathi Stelle has now resurfaced in Gauteng where he’s trained by Khangelani Jack, the 2023 Trainer of the Year award winner.
Not only is Stelle training under Jack, he’s also preparing for his next fight, which is against Zimbabwean boxer Ndabezinhle Phiri at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park on Sunday, 2 March.
The unbeaten Phiri is a formidable opponent, who showed Moyisi Booi flames, stopping him in the fourth round in Midrand last September.
“Stelle is here training with us. He started training with us more than two weeks ago. He’s busy preparing for his next fight,” Jack said.
Stelle left Luvuyo Boxing Club and teamed up with former World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Organisation (IBO) featherweight champion Simphiwe ‘V12’ Vetyeka as his new trainer in August last year. He is the current Eastern Cape junior-bantamweight champion.
Meanwhile, Stelle was stopped by reigning World Boxing Organisation (WBO) junior-bantamweight champion Phumelela Cafu in 26 seconds when they fought for the then vacant SA title in December 2023.
