SuperSport United thrashed Kaizer Chiefs 4-1 in a Betway Premiership match at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Tuesday evening.

Matsatsantsa a Pitori took an early lead when former Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic scored in the third minute following a Gamphani Lungu assist.

Amakhosi equalised through Glody Lilepo’s goal in the 30th minute from a Pule Mmodi assist, however, Matsatsantsa restored their lead when Christian Saile, who was fed by Nurkovic, scored.

Matsatsantsa were not done yet as after providing Nurkovic for his team’s first goal, Lungu made it 3-1 in the 63rd minute. 

Things went from bad to worse for Chiefs as Uruguayan midfielder Sirino was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence in the 69th minute. 

And Siphesihle Ndlovu made it 4-1 with a beautiful goal seven minutes from full-time following a Brooklyn Poggenpoel assist. 

Meanwhile, Magesi FC beat Polokwane City 1-0 through Thabang Sibanyoni’s goal at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
