Stellenbosch FC overcame Magesi FC 2-1 in a Betway Premiership encounter at the Danie Craven Stadium in the Cape Winelands on Tuesday evening.
Stellies took the lead in the 21st minute through Mzwandile Buthelezi’s own goal. Five minutes later, Magesi eqaulised with Given Mashikinya’s goal.
In-form Stellies forward Ashley Cupido, formerly with Cape Town Spurs, restored his team’s lead eight minutes before the half-time break.
