Xolisani ‘Nomeva’ Ndongeni has once again left the South African shores for Puerto Rico where he’s going to face off against unbeaten Puerto Rican boxer Nestor Bravo Velazquez in Fajardo on Sunday morning (South African time).

KwaBhaca-born Ndongeni, a former SA and International Boxing Organisation (IBO) lightweight champion, will be looking for his first win abroad as he has not had any luck on the road, losing all his five overseas fights.

Actually, Ndongeni has only won once in his last five fights with him scoring the sole victory from a fight against Malawian Crispin Moliati at the Box Camp Booysens, Johannesburg, last year.

On the other hand, the 31-year-old Bravo, a knockout artist, has an unblemished record of 23 wins with 16 of those victories coming from the short distance.

Meanwhile, this 10 rounds junior-welterweight bout is co-promoted by Juan Ivan Orengo from Fresh Productions and Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions.
