Siyakholwa Kuse has no doubt in his mind that he took a very good decision by moving from East London to Johannesburg as he hopes the move will enhance his boxing career.
Kuse shocked boxing followers when he bolted out of All Winners Boxing Club in Mdantsane to go join the Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy in Edenvale last month.
“I can say so far so good and I don’t regret making this move from East London to Johannesburg. I’m enjoying myself under my new trainer Vusi Mtolo,” Kuse remarked.
The reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver mini-flyweight champion is adamant that his move is for the benefit of his family as he wants to improve their lives. And he has added that he’s in Johannesburg for the sole purpose of making life better for his family.
“My family members appreciate me and they know that I’m here to work for all of us. Anything I will achieve will work towards improving our lives that’s why I can’t say I miss home,” the former South African minimumweight champion said.
Meanwhile, the erstwhile African Boxing Union (ABU) minimumweight titlist is set to defend his WBC Silver crown on the undercard of Shervantaigh Koopman’s International Boxing Organisation (IBO) junior-middleweight title fight against Uisma dos Ramos Lima from Angola on Saturday, 31 May.
