Kaizer Chiefs defeated Magesi FC 1-0 in a Betway Premiership encounter at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Tuesday evening.
The only goal of the match was scored by second half substitute Ashley du Preez, formerly with Stellenbosch FC, in the 69th minute.
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch FC moved to third place on the Premiership table following a 1-0 win over Marumo Gallants through Devin Titus’ 52nd minute goal at the Dr Molemela Stadium in Mangaung.
